Hi! I’m Talia Bunting. I’ve been a small business owner in Atlanta for 5 years. I started my short term property management company to help raise capital for more investment opportunities. I sold half of it the week before Georgia shut down for #Covid-19. When the coronavirus hit, I took on two business partners and pivoted the rest of my property management business to focus entirely on investing. I’m all about the deals and constantly looking for profit opportunities. And, who doesn’t like being a dream maker? That being said, there is SO much to learn. I’m drinking from a firehose most days.
I live with my husband and three kiddos in Atlanta, Georgia.
Why I Am Blogging
I like taking self-taught deep dives into different arenas. Right now, that’s finance. Finance is a male dominated field, I want to help make it accessible for other people like me. I hope that if this is something you’re interested in, that you can join along as I learn.
And I hope that when my daughter decides to study nuclear physics or engineering or construction, that other women would have started blogs for my girl to read, so she knows it’s possible.

I spent three months learning all the fundamentals for the securities industry summer of 2020 and passed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam in September. I’m trying to figure out if I should try and get a job with an investment company or just focus on investing by myself (if you know the answer, let me know).

This is just a freebie. We love traveling so much that occasionally I write about our travels. We try and spend a few months traveling each year. We were supposed to be in California this summer, but #covid19. Here are some blogs I’ve written from past travels (mostly in Paris).
